SWITZERS HANDICAP of 30 soys., with a sweepstake of 2 guineas ; the amount accruing from sweepstake to be given to the second horse. Nomination, 30s.'; acceptance, 1 guinea. Distance, H mile. Nominations to be sent in to the Secretary on or before the 20th February. Weights to be declared in the Ttjapbka. Times of the 27th February. Horses to be the benia fide property of residents in the district for at least 3 months previous to the 13th March, 1873, and residing within 10 miles of Switzers Post Office. Nomination, 1 guinea ; acceptance, 10s. Nominations to be sent in to the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on the 12th of March. Weights declared at 9 p.m. , on the 13th March. Acceptances to be sent to Secretary, at Crown Hotel, not later than 10 a.m. on the 14th March. CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 15 \ soys. ; for all beaten horses. Distance, 1^ mile. Nomination, £L ; acceptance, 10s. HURRY SCURRY HACK RACE of 5 soys. Mile heats. Entrance, 10s. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with -the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this programme (post entry races excapted), unless the latter be qualified as the hema fide property of a subscriber to the race fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at the Crown Hotel, Switsjers, not later than 8 p.m. on Wednesday, 12th March. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, and name of owner and colors of the rider, Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered, will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes, for expenses, Horses walking over, will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The Dunedin Jockey Club rules will be strictly enforced. Parties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea. If protest should be sustained, the guinea to be returned.
