STAFF CHANGES.

Reorganisation at Canterbury College. This year’s issue of the Canterbury College regulations announces a few changes in the lecturing staff and one addition. Miss E. M. Heine, formerly of the staff of the Dominion Museum, Wellington, has been appointed to the biology department. Professor James Shelley, who also occupies the chair of Education at the college, has been appointed actingprofessor of Philosophy, since the departure of Dr C. E. Beeby for Wellington. Messrs R. Winterbourn and H. W. Turner are assistant lecturers in Philosophy, while Mr Winterbourn is also assistant lecturer in Education. In the chemistry department Dr Hugh Parton. who returned last year from a year’s leave of absence, lias resumed his assistant lectureship. Mr C. E. Foweraker. who is lecturing in Botany, will also assist one or two forestry students who are completing their degrees.
