THE ACE. When The Ace left Canterbury he made his home at Opotiki. His stud opportunities have been restricted there but he is to be removed for next season to the Waikato, where he should have a better chance. The Ace was imported to the Dominion by the late Sir George Clifford and while at Stonyhurst he sued Waterline, a good winner in New’ Zealand and Australia, also his sister, Fast Passage, winner of the New Zealand Cup and Auckland Cup, w’hile among his other smart progeny were Centrepiece, Straightcourse, Sharp Thorn, Bramble Torn, Winsome Hind and Impertinence.
