SAVAGE CLUB KORERO.

The Savage Club held its second korero on Saturday evening, when there was a large attendance of members. Past-Great Chief J. R. Cuningliam. who was installed by Great Chief Hanna, was in the chair. The programme was an interesting and enjoyable one. The orchestra, under the conductorship of Savage Harold Beck, received generous applause for its offerings, especially Hall’s “Imperial March ” and the “Ruddigore ” selection (Sullivan). The chairman gave an interesting address on nis recent trip through Mexico and the Arizona desert. Savage C. Glanville gave the dramatic recitation “ Lascar and Savage L. C. Travers sang “The Call of the Wind” and "Waltz” from “The Sunshine Gill” Savage Noel Newson gave a spirited interpretation of “ Sch'erzo in C Sharp Minor ” (Chopin), and for an encore played Brahms's " Intermezzo.” Savage T. R. Stopforth sang two songs, “ Maire. My Girl ” and “ Sincerity ” pleasingly. The concluding item was a humorous sketch, entitled “Hallelujah Chorus,” by the “ Hallelujah Corner.” Several new members were welcomed by the chairman.
