PIGEON FLYING.
The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club staged another successful show on Saturday evening with a class for hen birds flown 500 miles and a class for young hens flown 150 mites. The classes again were well supported with twenty entries for the 500-mile class and twenty-one for the 150-mile class. Mr H. Browning who was judge and commented very favourably on the condition and type of birds benched Mr Geo. M’Dougall won both classes. Results:—soo mile class (20)—G MacDouga 11 1, J. M’Lean 2, A. Stone 3, A. G. M’Kill-op 4. 150 mile class (21) G. MacDouga 11 1, J. Hislop 2, J. Bates 3 and 4. A further show will be held next Saturday evening for 350-mile cocks and 100-mile young cocks. Mr Allen Buckley will be- the judge.
