GIFT PARTY.
Miss S. Wooler Entertained by Her Bridesmaid. A kitchen afternoon was arranged on Saturday by Miss Betty Smithson, Merivale Lane, for Miss Shirley Wooler, in whose honour many gift parties were arranged last week. Miss Smithson, who is Miss Wooler’s cousin, will be one of the bridesmaids at her wedding on Saturday next. Mrs G. W. C. Smithson, who assisted her daughter in her duties as hostess wore a royal bkie georgette frock, Miss Smithson herself being in a green crinkle crepe frock trimmed with lemon georgette. Tawny and bronze shaded chrysanthemums were arranged in bowls in the drawing room, and in the dining-room, where afternoon tea was served, pink chrysanthemums made effective decorations.
