TAR-SEALING WORK.

Tenders for Paparua County Considered. A committee of the Paparua County Council met last evening to consider the acceptance of tenders for the tarsealing of that section of the Chri6t-church-Akaroa road in the county. It was decided to recommend to the Main Highways Board that the tender of British Pavements, Ltd., be accepted. Six miles of the road are to be treated, and of that length the Paparua County will be responsible for four miles and the Halswell County Council for two miles. The first coat sealing is to be applied in the immediate future, and the last coat about this time next year.
