“BRITISH I'UUTBALL. LONDON, April 19. The Northern Union football match at Hull, Kingston Rovers v. Castleford, resulted in a win for Rovers by 17 points to 7. MONETARY INQUIRY. WELLINGTON, April 20. Complaints by several people that they are not being allowed to appear before the Monetary Committee was the subject of a statement to-day by the chairman (Mr J. A. Nash, M.P.) who referred to the fact that the date for receiving applications from those wishing to give evidence had been expended to ’ March 10. Since then a number of applications had been received, but, although the committee had been unable to allow applicants to appear in each case, every proposal submitted had been read to the committee.
