HEADMASTER HONOURED.

Annual Meeting of Historical Association. The annual general meeting of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Historical Association was held at Canterbury College last evening. Dr J. Might, president of the association. said that the association would suffer a loss in the resignation of Mr A. K. Anderson, who had been appointed principal of Scot’s College, Sydney. The members were all most indebted to Mr Anderson for the work he had always done for the association. On the motion of Dr HJght, seconded by Mr J. Booth, the warmest wishes of the association were conveyed to Mr and Mrs Anderson. The following officers were elected: President, Dr J. Might: vice-presidents, Messrs L. Denny and J. Booth; councillors. Misses G. Merton, A. M. F. Candy. M. G. Robertson, the Rev M. A. Rugby Pratt and “Mr E. It. Webb; secretary and treasurer. Mr A. J. Campbell.
