WALLA WALLA.

Auckland Trip is Cancelled. “NOT IN FIT CONDITION.” Walla Walla will not go to Auckland for the special invitation races there on April 28 and 30. Mr L. S. Martin, owner of the Australian champion, said this morning that Walla Walla was not himself at all, and really needed a rest. “ I deeply regret having to disappoint the Auckland people,” he said, “ but the horse is not in condition to undertake the trip. I feel certain that if he did go it would knock him right out. That would mean that his proposed appearances at Oamaru, Forbury Park and Hutt Park would have to be abandoned. “ It is bad luck, but in the circumstances I really* have no choice.” Auburn Lad will replace Walla Walla. He will be shipped north on Monday evening in charge of his ownertrainer. W. M’Kay. Mr Martin will remain in Christchurch to look after Walla Walla.
