CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW.
A meeting of the Sydenham Methodist Chrysanthemum Show Committee was presided over by the Rev Ray Richards. The secretary reported that arrangements for stalls and sideshows were well in. hand. The schedule has been revised and provision made for all classes. A silver cup, the Maddren Challenge Cup, has been presented for most points for blooms in section B (amateur). The committee has been fortunate in securing special prizes. Mr L. H. Browne Is offering a prize of three Japanese or three Chinese plants for the winner of the beginners’ class; a special prize (donated by Mr a. Hack) of six Japanese plants for the wlnnvr of the novice class; gladioli bulbs (presented by Mr G. Cade) for the winner of section Ca, decorative, twenty-one years and under; a prize of 2s 6d (donated by Mrs A. K. Turner) for the. winner of the Juvenile sections. The secretary reported that Mr L. H. Browne had askt?d for space to exhibit a special chrysanthemum. The bloom is a single yellow one called Helen Metson In memory of the late Mrs Helen Metson, of Sydenham.
