Gift of £IOO to Y.M.C.A.

LETTER was received from Mr J. H. Seager by the Board of Directors of the Y.M.C.A. last night intimating that he had been in the habit of giving an annual subscription to the Y.M.C.A., and in order to perpetuate that subscription after his death, he intended to make a gift of £IOO to the association, the capital to be kept intact and the interest to be included in the general funds of the association. The president (Mr D. E. Parton), in moving that a letter be sent to Mr Seager expressing deep appreciation of his action, stated that he hoped that this would be but a beginning of many gifts in this direction. He said that many people could not leave large sums to the association, but would be willing to perpetuate their annual subscription by a gift of £SO to £IOO to go into the capital account. Several board members expressed appreciation of this generous gift made by Mr Seager, who for so many years had been a sympathetic and practical supporter of the association.
