WEEKLY CARD EVENING.

The New Brighton Bowling Club held its weekly card evening in the pavilion last night, when a large attendance of members and friends enjoyed a game of whist. Prizes were won by Miss Saun,£erf’. Mrs Campbell and Mr Larcombe. There was a large attendance at the South Brighton Hall last night, when the South Brighton Progress League entertained the North Linwood Burgesses’ Association at a social evening. A pleasant evening was spent with euehr* and competitions, followed by a dance. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mr N. Kinsman, and Mr F. W. Larcombe was M.C. The evening’s play resulted in a win for South Brighton with 181 points.
