SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY.
The annual meeting of the Canterbury College Scientific Society was held Inst evening. In the absence of the chairman, Mr J. Packer presided over thirty students. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Dol'd Rutherford of Nelson: president, Dr C. C. Farr: vice-presidents, Mr F. Hutchinson and Dr D. B. M*l,eod; chairman. Mr A. C. Harris; secretary, Mr E. S. Berthwick: assistant secretary. Mr J. F. Gabites; treasurer, Mr E. R. Hounsell; committee, Mr V. Macfarlane, Mr J. P. Glasgow, Miss A. Davies and I Miss P. M’ Combs.
