The final meeting for this yfear of the supporters of the Christchurch branch of the Douglas Social Credit Movement was held in the Builders’ Chambers. Gloucester Street, last evening. Mr S. W. Lambton presided. He stated that Major Douglas was expected to arrive in New Zealand on January 30 next, and would visit the summer camp at Palmerston North, subsequently visiting the other centres. The Finance Committee of the Christchurch branch had set its quota at £IOO, but he did not see why £2OO should not be raised.
