Criticism of N.Z. State Schools. PUNEDIN, December 15. Allying himself with Professor Condliffe, Archdeacon Whitehead, warden Of Selwyn College, speaking at the school break-up, said that grievous defects in the New Zealand State schools were their deadlv uniformity, rig'ditv and bureaucratic influence. He urged the abolition of inspectors and training colleges, which were a menace to the system.
