FLIGHT POSTPONED.
Bad Weather Prevents Trip Across Tasman. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, December 1. Unfavourable weather conditions over the Tasman caused a further postponement of Mr Ulm’s departure. The weather bureau forecasts strong head winds, rain and squalls, and clouds over practically the whole route, and says that these are likely to continue for several days. Earlier in the day Mr Ulm had stated : ‘‘l want to get to New Zealand as speedily as possible, but while there is a shadow of risk attached to the trip I will not go. The latest reports show an abatement of the winds over the Tasman, and. if continued, I propose to leave about 5 o'clock in the afternoon. The plane’s wireless equipment will enable me to keep in touch with Australian and New Zealand stations throughout the journey.”
