Mr de Valera Returned for South Down. LORD CRAIG A VOX'S MESSAGE. British Official Wireless. (Received December 2, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, December 1. With the exception of the four Belfast University seats, the results of the general election in Northern Ireland wefe announced as follow’s: — Seats. U nionists 33 Nationalists 9 Independents 2 Socialists 2 Fianna Fail | Republican 1 Lord Craigavon, Prime Minister, in a message to the Unionists, says that Ulster is again assured of five years of resolute, settled government, 41 accompanied, I sincerely trust, by a period of peace, progress and prosperity. I will carry on, encouraged and strengthened by this signal victory over the disruptive elements raised against cur Imperial stronghold.” The successful Fianna Fail candidate was Mr de Valera, who was elected fo South Down.
