PIANOFORTE RECITAL.

The pupils of Miss Joan Sendall, L.T.C.L., A.T.C.L#., gave an enjoyable programme to an appreciative audience of parents and »friends in the Shirley School on Wednesday evening. Items were contributed by the following pupils: Piano solos. Misses Betty Hazard, Shirley Coull, Kathleen Denton; duet, Betty Hazard and Shirley Gray; solos, GJoria Shearman, Shirley Gray. Rita Rhind; duet, Shirley Ward and Rex Harrison; solos, Jessie Halcrow, Catherine Muir and Trevor Phillips; duet, Rona Frame and Gloria Shearman; solos, Shirley Ward, Rex Harrison and Keltha Maclntyre. Miss Sendall’s pupils were assisted by the following artists: Miss Lily Robertson (violin solo), Mr J. Scarff (ventriloquist), Mr C. Coates (magician), Miss Greta Archer and Mr J. Collins (songs), Miss Jean Heath (recitation), and Miss Keitha Maclntyre (dance). At the conclusion Mr Geary, chairman of the Shirley School Committee, presented the prizes.
