Famous Dutch Collection Sold.

United Press Assn.—By Electrl« Telegraph—Copyrigh c. (Received December.2, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, December 1. Thirty-five thousand pounds was paid for a collection of British Empire stamps belonging to Mr H. P. Manus, an Amsterdam tobacco merchant and octogenarian, who died in 1931. He collected for 70 years. His Mauritius varieties realised £4OOO, and his early Australian collection realised high prices. Mr Manus originally scoured the world, resulting in a collection so bulky that he had confined it to the Empire during the last 30 years.
