“BILLY THE KID.”
“Billy the Kid”, which Is having a return season at the Grand Theatre this week, is a typical Western thriller. The picture unfolds a gripping frontier story replete with gun fights, hold-ups and hard rir'’ng. Billy the Kid (John Mack Brown) is a sincere young gunman who disagrees with a sheriff who for many years had been terrorising the countrv by his lawless exploits. Karl Dane is .suitably cast as the sheriff, and the stuttering comedian, Roseoe Ates, is responsible for some delightful comedy. The much discussed news reel of the Cuban riot heads a well-varied supporting programme.
