WASHINGTON, October 24. Machinery to control imports that might be endangering codified U nited States industry was given to the N.R.A. Recovery Act Administration to-dav by President Roosevelt in an executive order formally authorising the recovery unit to investigate complaints against cheap foreign imports. Embargoes, quotas, higher tariffs, all are at the command of the administration if the investigation finds that the pleas of American producers are justified.
