Scope of Scotland Y ard Widened. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, October 25. The Home Office has decided to speed up crime detection by the establishment of a national detective force in connection with Scotland Yard, according to the “ News-Chronicle.” At present Scotland Yard is unable to investigate crimes outside London unless specially requested to do so by' local authorities. The new scheme will permit of immediate investigation anywhere.
