“ The bee-keeping industry is on the increase and is being taken up seriously in the Canterbury province as a fulltime occupation,” said Mr W. J. Fix, apiar yinstructor of the Department of Agriculture, yesterday. He stated that tne recent rains had renewed the confidence of apiarists in the prospects for the coming season’s output of honey. He had just completed a trip through the province, and good crops were expected, but much depended on the weather during the summer months. Stocks which carried through the winter successfully were now in a very forward condition.
