ROYAL SHOW.
Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., November 3. The ninth Royal Show was opened to-day by the Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe). It is an attractive and comprehensive display. Entries in nearly every class are ahead of those when the show was last held here. The greatest gains have been made by pigs, entries this year being 227, a record for the Royal Shows. Cattle and sheep are up to the previous high standard, all breeds being well represented. Judging was in progress to-day.
