MILLERTON MEN RESUME.
(Special to the ** Star.”) MILLERTON, October 8. The relief workers’ strike at Millerton against the new scheme terminated yesterday when 94 workers notified the certifying officer that they were not in favour of the strike owing to the changed situation. The West Coast Council of Unemployed declared the strike off under protest. At Millerton, forty-two relief workers will have to stand down for one week under section 20 (4) as a penalty for striking. The strike is still on elsewhere on the West Coast.
