Grave Concern Felt by League Council. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received October 8, noon.) GENEVA, October 7. Acknowledging the Loans Committee's memorial of September 20, the League Council passed a resolution reaffirming the grave concern with which it views the continued failure of certain States to meet their obligations, urging them to resume full payment of their debts at the earliest date, and requesting the Finance Committee to advise whether remedial action can be taken at present. Press and Peace. During the discussion on the Polish proposal for an International Press Conference to consider the co-operation of the Press in the organisation of World Peace, Mr Cameron declared that Australian newspaper proprietors and journalists sympathetically viewed the problem of avoiding the publication of news that was either false, or likely to be harmful in a national crisis.
