RELAXATION DANCE.

University Students in Festive Mood. ANNUAL GATHERING. Forgetting 'the end-of-the-j r ear examinations which are looming up in the near future, the students of Canterbury College spent an enjoyable time at the Winter Garden last evening when the Students’ Association annual relaxation dance was held. The arrangements of the evening were in the hands of the following social committee: Misses Sheila Tennent, Marjorie Sherris, Messrs J. F. N. Newbold (chairman), H. M. S. Dawson, W. E. King, H. S. Anderson and R. S. Duncan (honorary secretary). Miss Sherris was in white taffetas lightly patterned in rose and green with a plaited belt. Miss Tennent wore a stock pink faille frock with a self-spot velvet cross-over coatee in slightly deep toning. The guests of honour were Dr J. Might (rector of the college) and Mrs Hight, and the following Deans of the Faculty and their wives:—Professor A. 11. and Mrs Tocker, Professor E. and Mrs Percival, Mr A. S. and Mrs Taylor. Mrs Might wore a handsome black satin frock and a black coat with deep upstanding rucked collar. Mrs Tocker was in honey-beige lace with a deep peplum flounce; Mrs Percival, ageratum blue satin inset with diagonal bands of the reverse of the material; Mrs Taylor, black net with a large gold spotted design. During the evening Mrs Hight presented the blues, football caps and rowing caps won during the year. Music was supplied by the Bailey-Marston Orchestra. Others present included: Professor and Mrs L.
