NORTH BRIGHTON SCHOOL.

The monthly meeting: of the North Brigrhton School Committee was attended by Messrs A. Florance (chairman), A. H. Henry, A. Jones, R. H. Mahan, S. Margetts, F. S. Norrie, J. Sands and S. S. Freeborn. The head master’s report showed the roll number as 284, with an average attendance for the month of 266. being -n increase over last returns. Mr Henry reported that the native shrubs presented by Mr Orton Bradley, of Charteris Bay, had been planted in the school garden, and that a scrub fence had been erected for their protection. Part of the west front of the school ground had been turfed and sown. Mr A Jones's offer to coach the boys at cricket was received with thanks. Messrs Henry and Sands were appointed a visiting committee for the month. >
