ROWING.

Sumner-Redcliffs Club Elects Officers. Mr Xt. C. Neville presided over the annual meeting of the Fumner-Redeliff* Rowing Club held in the pavilion last evening. The annual report stated that the financial position was better than last year. The racing plant had been kept in good order, but new sculls and oars would have to be purchased. The report was adopted.. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mr W. H. Nicholson; president, Mr C. M. Roswell; vice-presidents, Messrs G. Humphreys, F. I). Kesteven, F. Truscott. G. Sutherland, S. W. Hickmott, IT. Truscott. C. Hart. F. Strong. H. Mouldey, R. Simpson and F. Pender; captain, Mr R. C. Neville; vice-captain, Mr A. Grafton; secretary, Mr C. S. Sutherland; treasurer, Mr G. Harper; committee, Messrs I>. S. Woods, A. Bates, A. Sutherland, J. Niven, J. Gant and O. Johnstone; Social Committee, Mrs M. Johnstone. Misses P. Kills, D. Olliver. K. and H. Olliver. Messrs J. Nolan and, A. Bates; auditor, Mr J. Neave; delegates to the Canterbury Rowing Association, Messrs A. Grafton and R. C. ' Neville; coaches, Messrs P. Olliver and L. S. Woods. It was decided to enter a crew in the, double sculls in the opening of the season races on the Avon. The opening day was fixed for November 12. Votes of thanks were accorded Miss R. Kills and Mr K. W. Arnold for their work on the club’s behalf.
