A RECORD FIND.

Pocket of Gold Found in Mine. JOHANNESBURG. April .6. A pocket of gold weighing 517 ounces of which it is estimated about 80 per cent will prove pure gold, has bee ( n found on the Witwatersrand Deep mine. This is the richest pocket ever found on the Rand. It is, of course, a freak discover}', and has no significance in respect to the general trend of the values on the mine. The previous biggest find of this character was in the City Deep mine, but this was less than half the size of that now discovered. It will be a welcome addition to the company’s revenue, last year’s operations resulting in a working loss of £9OOO.
