Counsel’s Criticism of Trolley Buses. The new trolley buses put into service by the Christchurch Tramway Board came in for brief but sharp criticism by counsel at a sitting of the Transport Appeal Board this morning. “ When you see these buses gliding through the Square,” he said, “ they seem to be perfection in passenger transport, but once you get into them you find that you would gladly pay a shilling for a ride on the tram owing to the jerks and jolts.” Mr Justice Frazer: That is so.

Counsel added that in dry weather the buses became very hot and dusty. They were not what they seemed.
