TRAFFIC JAM ROBBERY.
LONDON, May 29. After he had snatched a bag containing jewels worth £20.000, a cool thief, v/ho was delayed in a traffic jam while driving away in a car, jokingly addressed the traffic constable. “ Are we stopping here all day?” he asked. The traffic moved on and the car had disappeared when, a little later, there was a shout from the crowd to stop the thief. Three men in a car drove up beside a diamond merchant and a youth who carried the bag of jewels. Two leapt from the car and one of these held the merchant while the other grabbed the bag.
