SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT.
An excellent concert, arranged by the Stanmore Silver Band, will be given In the Civic Theatre to-morrow night. Mr George Tichener, the well-known 3YA comedian, will be hteard in two musical sketches, entitled •* Water Scenes ” and “A Few Impressions,” and Wee Georgie, the wonder boy, will give a song at the piano, entitled “ Barefoot Days.” Items will also be given by Mr Les Stewart (vocalist), Mr F. Brown (elocutionist), Messrs Cole and Thompson (mouth organ and accordeon duets). Miss F. Morrison, a stage star (songs), and Mr J. Gallagher (songs). The items by the Stanmore Silver Band, under the baton of Mr J. A. Lloyd, will include: March, “ Hollinwood ” (W. Heaton); grand fantasia, “ National Songs of Great Britain and Ireland ” (Lieutenant J. Ord Hume, I. F.); selection, “Le Due lllastri Rivali ” (Mercadante); patrol, “Jungle Drums”; march, “For Freedom and Honour.” Admission will be by silver coin.
