ANNUAL DINNER.

Christchurch Poultry Club. The cares and worries of show period were forgotten by a gathering of nearly one hundred breeders, competitors and judges at the dinner held by the Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club at the Cafe Frascati last evening. Those present included breeders from all parts of New Zealand. Mr A. E. Hounsell presided, and in welcoming those present, expressed the thanks of the club to those competitors who year after year supported the club. The chief value of the show, according to Mr J. D. Gobbe, in proposing the toast of “ The Visitors, was the bringing together of farmers from different parts. It was to be hoped that the show would continue to fulfil this important function. Other toasts were: “ The Agricultural Department,” “ The Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club," “ The Artists ” and “ The Press.”
