ANNUAL DANCE.
Commercial Travellers and W arehousemen. HOLIDAY SPIRIT PREVAILS. The holiday spirit prevailed at the Winter Garden last evening, when members of the Canterbury Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen’s Association chose, as a fitting conclusion to a day of leisure, to hold their annual dance. The members of the sccial committee of the association, with Mr A. S. Mazey as secretary, organised the dance. They had made comprehensive arrangements for the enjoyment of their guests, including the following special items: Waltzing competition, a ballet by Miss Bessie Macdonald’s Tiny Tots, and an exhibition of ballroom dancing by Mr J. Turpin and Miss Eileen Mallouk. The Bailey-Marston orchestra provided continuous music throughout the evening.
