Leslie and Kenneth Hamilton left Lympne aerodrome shortly after midnight on an attempt to break the England to Australia air record. Threy hoped to breakfast at Budapest at eight o’clock, and then fly to Constantinople where they would refuel, reaching Aleppo at 1 a.m. on Wednesday. The weather was frosty with a brilliant moon when they left Lympne. The two brothers in a dual-con-trolled Moth, are on an attempt to make a record flight to Darwin. They will remain there one day and then return to London. They intend to do considerable night flying. FLIGHT TO EGYPT BEGINS. LONDON, October 27. Squadron Leader Ga)’ford and Flight Lieutenant Brett left Cranwell at 6.45 a.m. on a non-stop flight to Egypt. They are using a Fairey monoplane similar to the one that made the first non-stop flight to India in 1929.
