Final Match of Manawatu Tournament. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., October 27. In the final of the open match at the Manawatu golf tournament, A. E. Ekstedt, of Manawatu, defeated D. C. Collins, of Wairarapa, in a hard-fought game, 3 up and 1 to play. Harewood Ladies’ Club. In the final of the junior club championship, played at Harewood yesterday, between Mrs D. Skinner and Miss L. Page, Mrs Skinner was the winner, 4 up and 3. Miss Page won the first three holes, but her opponent squared the match at the turn. The next half showed Mrs Skinner to be the steadier player. She carried the match to the fifteenth green. In the play-off of a tie between Miss M. Miller and Mrs Skinner for a trophy presented by Miss Mitchell, Miss Miller was the winnex*. To-morrow the ladies will close their season with a four-ball bogey match, players to choose their own partners and opponents. Play will begin at the usual time.
