WEDDING.

ANDERSEN—NICHOLLS. The wedding took place this afternoon at St John’s Church, Latimer Square, of Grace Christian, youngest daughter of Mrs Nicholls and the late Mr J. W. Nicholls, St Albans and late of Ireland, and Oscar Ludwig, eldest son of Mr H. Andersen and the late Mrs Andersen, New Brighton. The Rev J. R. Hervey officiated. The church was massed with prunus blossom in shades of pink. The bride, who was given away by Mr W. J. Walter, wore a beautiful gown of ivory lace over georgette made with a fitting corsage, long sleeves and full skirt falling ankle length in front and forming a short train at the back. The bodice was cut with a square neck in the front and in a deep V at the back. Her veil of fine Brussels net was edged with lace and fell in a long train. It was arranged to her head with a fitting cap of lace which was held in place with sprays of orange blossom across the top and back. The bridesmaids, Misses Mavis M’Gill and Mona Ward, wore similar frocks of sunset pink lace. The ankle length skirts were inset at the side with georgette frills and their coatees were edged with tiny frills. Their straw hats and bouquets toned with their frocks. The flower girl, Miss Noreen Sloan, niece of the bride, wore a dainty ankle length frock of sunset pink net frilled with georgette, puffed sleeves and a deep collar finished in front with a pink posy. Her Juliet cap was of lace and she carried a muff on which was a spray of lily of the valley. The bridegroom was attended by Mr H. Andersen (brother) as best man, and Mr J. Shand as groomsman. .After the ceremony a reception was held at the Winter Garden. Mrs Nicholls, the bride’s mother, received the guests wearing a smart black lace frock with a georgette bodice finely pleated at the waist and finished with a narrow belt and diamante buckle and long georgette and lace sleeves. Her hat was of black straw and she carried a bouquet of bright flowers.
