Y.W.C.A. GIRL CITIZENS.
Under the direction of the Chiei Counsellor, Miss M. Burnley, an inter esting day was spent on Monday by a party of Y.W.C.A. Girl Citizens who leaving the city at ten o’clock travelled by bus to North Beach and from there walked along the beach to Waimairi. As lunch time was drawing near the party divided into teams of four, and each team commenced preparations for the lighting of a fire on the beach. With much trouble the girls eventually made the fire burn, and then proceded to cook their meal. After lunch, each team was awarded points for its effort. The afternoon’s entertainment was arranged by the girls, who first of all divided into two teams, each team providing half an hour’s entertainment for the whole of the party. t
