Mrs W. S. Bean, The Vicarage, Addington, is visiting Dunedin. Mrs Charles Ogilvie, Cashmere Hills, is visiting Hanmer. Mrs W. IJ. Barnard arrived from the North Island this morning. Mr and Mrs W. Leather, and Mr and Mrs A. Macredie, Auckland, are guests at Warner’s Hotel. Dr Ada Patterson arrived in Christchurch this morning by the ferry steamer from the north. Mrs Cantrell, Dunedin, will arrive in Christchurch to-day and will leave later for the north. Mrs Leyden Baker, Hackthorne Road, Cashmere Hills, is visiting friends in Napier. Messrs F. B. Ohlson (Waitaki Hydro) and J. R. Bruce (Timaru) are staying at the Hotel Federal. Mrs Charles Iloggard, Milton, is staying with her aunt, Miss M’Clatchie, Merivale. Mr and Mrs W. M. Stewart, Macmillan Avenue, have left for a holiday in Marlborough. Miss Als Jones, the Vicarage, Prebbleton, has returned from a holiday visit to Ashburton. Mr and Mrs J. Hebb, Gloucester Street, left last night for the North Island. Miss Doris Fleming, Christchurch, is visiting Mrs J. R. Blues, Cargill Road, Dunedin. Mrs W. Wilson, Shirley, has returned to Christchurch after spending a fortnight at Hanmer. Mrs W. B. Taverner, Dunedin, was a passenger by the ferry steamer for Wellington last night. Mrs Leslie Dougall, Mrs F. W. Freeman and Mrs R. W. Morgan, Cashmere Hills, are spending a holiday at Hanmer Springs. Mrs A. G. Quartley, Auckland, accompanied by her daughter, Margaret, is the guest of her mother, Mrs W. T. Charlewood, Cashmere Hills. Mrs A. Hamilton, Kelburn, Wellington, who is the guest of Mrs W. M. Hamilton, Dyer’s Pass Road, Cashmere Hills, will return home to-morrow. Mrs Gregg, Raetihi, who has been visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs J. B. Beckett, Victoria Street, will leave for the north this evening. Mrs E. M. Madeley, “Springfield,” Clarkville, and Mrs R. W..F. Ashby, Division Street, Riccarton, have left for Hastings to attend the Anderson— Heyward wedding. Mrs A. M. Satterthwaite, “ Lorraine,” Fendalton, and her two children will leave to-night for Cambridge, to stay with her mother, Mrs T. C. Faville. Mr and Mrs Satterthwaite will leave by the Niagara on October 6 to spend a month in; Sydney and Melbourne.
