MR C. E. JONES INJURED ON BOARD RANGITANE.
While on his way to England, Mr C. E. Jones met with a serious accident on the Rangitane during a game with a medicine-ball played with the captain. Word has reached Christchurch that Mr Jones was struck in the small of the back, and that one kidney was split. For a long time his condition was serious. He had to rest, packed in ice, for more than a fortnight. He improved, how T ever, and since arriving in England has consulted medical specialists.
