GIRL KNOCKED DOWN IN SQUARE LAST NIGHT.
Knocked over in Cathedral Square by a car shortly after six o’clock last evening, Dorothy Woodhouse, aged eighteen, of 104, Watford Street, Papa* nui, was taken to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from head injuries and shock. Her condition this morning was described as fairly satisfactory. Miss Woodhouse got off a tram, and according to eye-witnesses, ran across from the safety zone towards the Cathedral. Before she reached the footpath the car struck her. She was taken to the hospital by the St John Free Ambulance.
