RAILWAY NOTICE. RACES AT ASHBURTON. SATURDAY, JUNE 27. FARES: JJOLIDAY EXCURSION' TICKETS will be issued to Ashburton from Christchurch-Timaru-Springburn and intermediate stations op direct line of route on 27th June by trains arriving Ashburton up to 12 noon (excepting the 8.35 a.m. Christchurch-Invercargill Express) on 27th June, available for return up to 29th June, but not by the Express train leaving Ashburton for Christchurch at 6.5 p.m. on 27th June. Tickets by the 9.45 a m. Special train from Christchurch will have Is 6d added for admission to course. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. Special Passenger Train for Ashbur ton Racecourse and Ashburton will leave Christchurch at 9.45 a.m. and will take passengers from Christchurch, Addington (9.51), Sockburn (9.58', Templeton (10.7), Rolleston (10.16), Dunsandel (10.33) and Rakaia (10.52) only, arriving Racecourse at 11.15 a.m. Return train, taking passengers from Ashburton and Ashburton Racecourse for Rr.kaia, Dunsandel. Rolleston. Templeton, Sockburn, Addington and Christchurch only, leaves Ashburton 4.20 p.m. and Racecourse 4.35 p.m., arriving Christchurch 6.15 p.m. A fast Special Train conveying racehorses and with passenger accommodation will leave Christchurch for Ashburton at 8.40 a.m., and return leaving Ashburton at 5.25 p.m. The 7.10 a.m. Christchurch-Ash bur ton train will stop at the Racecourse Siding to set down passengers. The usual 11.10 a in. AshburtonChristchurch train will leave Ashburton 11.24 a.m., Chertsey 12.2 p.m., thence as per usual timetable. The 3.50 p.m. train from Ashburton to Christchurch will leave the Racecourse Siding at 3.56 p.m. and will run EARLIER from Rakaia to Selwyn, leaving Rakaia at 4 40 p.m., Dunsandel 5.15 p.m. and arriving Selwyn 5.21 pin., thence at usual time.
