BRIDGE PARTY GIVEN BY C.A.A. MEMBERS.

EFFORT IS ORGANISED TO RAISE FUNDS

A successful bridge party arranged by the members of the Canterbury Automobile Association was held in the association’s rooms last evening. This effort was to raise an additional sum to pay off the existing debt on the “ Log Cabin ” at Hanmer Springs. Pink geraniums massed round the shields over the mantlepiece made a novel and pretty decoration, while vases of red and white roses, daisies and foliage we r e arranged about the room. In addition to those who were playing many others assisted by arranging parties in their own homes. The financial result should be gratifying to the association. Supper was served upstairs, where autumn flowers were used to decorate the tables.
