TENNIS ASSOCIATION HAS ANNUAL DANCE.
COMBINED CLUBS HAVE SUCCESSFUL EVENING
Alany tennis enthusiasts and other friends spent an enjoyable evening at the Winter Garden last night at the annual dance held by the members of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association. An energetic committee had been working hard for several weeks to ensure succe’ss for the occasion and credit is due to them for their splendid arrangements. The committee comprised Alisses Sadie Boyd, Rosa Hookham, Irene Poole, Hazel Thompson, Alona Butler, Alessrs J. Alercer (chairman), J. L. Squire (secretary), C. D. Stewart, W. Hawkins, F. O. Schmidt, H. Tillman, J. Al’Queen, J. Sinclair, J. O’Alalley and R. Browning. An exhibition of the latest dances was given by Aliss Iris Edmonds and Mr Desmond Day. During supper Aliss Alaisie Ottey and her band supplied the music. For the rest of the time the music was supplied by the Bailey-Alarston Orchestra. Those present included; Alesdames J. C.
