OPENING OF UNITED CROQUET CLUB HELD.

The United Croquet Club’s season opened at the club greens last Saturday. There was a good attendance of members and representatives of other clubs. Varioup competitions were played during the afternoon. Prizes for the competitions were donated by Mesdames A. Ross, Pullar, Oxley, Nicbojls and Hope. At the conclusion, the president, Mr A. Ross, presented the prizes to the winners, Mesdames Sca’udrett, Ogier and Maddren, and Mr G. Richardson.

Amongst the players were: Mr and Mrs A. Ross, Mr and Mrs W. Tyeirs, Mr and Mrs Tayler, Mr and Mrs Nicholl, Mr and Mrs Powell, Mr and Mrs Malpas, Mrs Oxley, Mrs Scandrett, Mr G. Richardson.
