Mrs W. G. Sherratt, Gisborne, and Mrs Sainsbury, Wairoa, are the guests of Mrs Hugh Buchanan, Wairarapa Terrace, Fendalton. Recent arrivals at the United Service Hotel include Mr and Mrs D. Stowell (Timaru), Mrs K. Gawne (Wellington), Miss Wheeler, Mrs James and Miss Edwards (Dunedin). Miss Elsie Andrews, president of the Women Teachers Association, has returned to Christchurch, from the Women’s Pan-Pacific Conference in Honolulu. She will give a lecture this evening at the Public Library lecture hall, to women interested in the conference.
