Canada 15 New Zealand assumed an early lead, which they held until the end. Singles. Colquhoun (England) 21, Reid (Canada) 20. Rowing. Double Sculls. Bile and Richards (Canada) .. 1 Eight-Oar Championship. England 1 New Zealand 2 Canada 3 There was three-quarters of a length between England and New Zealand and Canada was five lengths further back. Men’s .Swimming. 880 Yards Relay. Canada , 1 England . 2 1500 Yards Free Style. Noel Ryan (Australia) 1 Gordon Bridson (New Zealand) 2 M. Burleigh (Canada) 3 Ryan swam a marvellous race.
