Mr and Mrs T. Hutchison, Napier, 1 are staying at,Warner’s Hotel. Mr and Mrs G. L. Mathias (Fairlie) are guests at the United Service Hotel. • Miss Stevenson and Miss Findlay, Christchurch, are visiting Auckland. Mrs Wynn-Williams arrived by the ferry from Wellington this morning. Mrs Brian Todd, who has been visiting friends in Wellington, has returned to her home in Garden Road. Mrs C. Crosby Wilson, who has been visiting Auckland, has returned to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs K. Willis and Miss J. Willis, Auckland, are guests at Warner’s Hotel. - ' Mrs F. Dunnage, St Albans, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs J. D. H. Buchanan, Timaru. Miss Eileen Gainsford, Cave, is the guest of Mrs G. D. Freeman, Gracefield Street. Miss Joan Buckley, Wairoa, who has been staying with the Misses Buckley* Leinster Road, has left for the North Island. Arrangements have been made by the Technical Old Girls’ Hockey Club to hold a dance in the Technical Hall on Saturday evening. The latest arrivals at the Hotel Federal include: Mr J. Carr (Methven), Mr C. Hurst (Timaru), Mr R. B. Meek (Oamaru), Miss Collett (Hawke’s Bay), Mr J. F. Strang (Invercargill). This year, as in former years, Miss Marian Woodhouse, L.R.A.M., and her students will delight Christchurch audiences with several vocal recitals. The first concert will be held in the Jellicoe Hall on Thursday, July 17. Miss Aileen Warren, the well known pianist, will be accompaniste. Recent guests at the Franz Josef Glacier Jlotel, Waiho Gorge, during the past week include: Dr and Mrs Ford (London), Mrs Robertson (U.S.A.), Messrs Kidson, Tiller, Chittenden and Mayson (Nelson), Mr Brown (Hokitika), Fathers Price and Fogarty (Methven), Father Docherty (Ross), Mr M’Grath (Sydney).
